micro spiked Gale River Road which had a few inches of new snow on the plowed section, snowmachine trail section recently groomed..saw old, looked like ski activity coming from Beaver Brook (campsite 3)..30 mins or so from Rt. 3 to trail..snowshoes on at that point, 4 inches or so down low, much more higher up..relocation not broken out, followed trench on the old trail, had not been on it in quite a few years, glad to see it in winter..also 30 (on way out) or so minutes on it til it reconnects..was some pretty deep drifts up high and it took longer than expected, wanted south twin but time constraints, no go...twinway, though had activity over weekend, this weeks snow squalls and wind took care of that track.. |
