The first one, right after setting foot on the trail, is open and covered in breakable crust ice. Use caution. Everything else is ice bridged. |

The trail is hard packed and barebootable to within 100 vertical feet of the top, where from the end of the track to the top is completely drifted in; hence, snowshoes may be helpful here. Excellent views on the summit- even better than the first time I went, which was before the illegal viewscaping took place. Up and down in 2 hours 20 minutes. A morning well spent!
