Comments
Comments: 7 of us followed the Crawford Path, detoured to Pierce, then went on to Eisenhower. The trail was very well packed out all the way to the ridge line. There was some ice on the quick detour to Pierce and most people had swayed from the cairn trail, taking a more direct route to the summit. Difficult to find the true summit, but with the packed trail on some of the drifts, we were probably higher then the actual summit cairn. Path decently well broken to Eisenhower. Only 1 big rock on Eisenhower Loop to get around (only a concern if wearing snowshoes), which is more then likely where I lost a snowshoe crampon spike. The trail has a lot of areas being exposed to wind, but there were a couple of good sheltered areas between Pierce and Eisenhower Loop Tr. Probably saw about a dozen people out hiking that day.
