This was my first time not being able to get into the summer parking lot. When I asked the ladies working at the store about the Jefferson Village swimming pool they had no idea what I was talking about. Once they knew I was looking for parking they directed me a short ways up the road. The lot is large and within sight of Starr King Rd. It's plowed but very icy. People seem to be parking along the upper most part of Starr King Rd although it's not advised. |

We were first up the trail today so Marlie got to lead the way. Easy trail for dogs. |

The trail was a perfectly packed snowshoe track this morning. With only a few post holes. I saw only 4 other hikers but I was the only one wearing my snowshoes. On the way out the number of post holes, although still few, had doubled and the track was a little more chewed up. Very soft on the sides, I sunk in even with snowshoes. No evidence of tracks along the Kilkenny Ridge Tr past the viewpoint on Waumbek.
