Comments
Comments: Up the Twins with party of 9, RGoH & back direct. Found the trail+ bushwhacks well-broken out to the Firewarden's Trail, moderately well from there to S. Twin, and just barely between the peaks, but there were several other groups up there, so it should be well hammered out all around by now. In all areas except the bushwhack to the end of Haystack Road, snowshoes were the most stable option. Snow depths up high were 4' with some monster drifts up to 6' or more but the snow has settled and is starting to lock, so further drifting should be minimal until the next snowfall. Still a heavy burden on trees. Stepping off trail is not an option. Summits show scour and hardening.
