Comments
Comments: Cold at the start ( -6) but warmed up nicely (+26 when we finished). We had a bit of trouble finding the trailhead behind the 15" snow banks. It is almost directly across the road from the North end of the parking lot.

Mt. Jackson: The hike up and down Mt. Jackson on the Webster - Jackson trail was as good as it gets. Mostly a firm pack, with a bit of unconsolidated snow and blue ice in a couple of spots (easy to avoid). We were in snowshoes the entire way, as were about 50% of the others we saw on the trail. Lots of people were in boots, with or without microspikes, and I saw a couple change into full crampons near the top. Two people were even running in trail running shoes (and moving fast!). All of it was working for people, with just a bit of postholing. Views from the top were perfect, some wind, but not bad.

Mt. Webster: We had planned to go over to Mt. Webster, but could not find the Webster Cliff Trail south of the Jackson summit due to deep snow and drifts. Gave up after wondering around for 10 minutes looking for signs of the trail and headed back down the way we came up.

Other trails: One hiker came across from Mizpah hut, so that trail was broken out a bit. Lower down, at the fork in the Webster - Jackson trail, the Webster branch had seen some traffic, but not a lot.
