Comments
Comments: Late start and long drive made this an afternoon hike. Met 15 hikers, 5 in snow shoes and 10 in boots and spikes. Trail has seen lots of use and is well packed. I felt the snow shoes provided better traction so I kept them on. Also they helped to smooth out the trail especially near the top where the drifting had been happening. Met two folks on their first 4000 foot hike. Only 575 to go! Nice down low but chilly on top at 1:30. Nice day out in the Whites.
