Comments
Comments: Gorgeous day. We haven't hiked in two months because of other commitments -- it was so nice to get back on the trails! I was happy to find the trails broken out and mostly packed up to the intersection with the unofficial ski trail (near the ridge, close to the official ski trails, before the KRT takes a hard left). After that, the trail was broken out but in no way packed.

We wore snowshoes all the way up and most of the way down. We descended on our butts for the final mile. :)

I would say that this trail is now packed and good to go for everyone else...but the forecast calls for at least 5-7 inches of snow on Cannon this evening, so bring the 'shoes, you'll likely need them.

Also...watch out for the skiers! There were a couple on the upper portion of the hiking trail today, zooming along.
