Comments
Comments: Holt Trail was totally snowed in and fluffy. Fortunately the blazes were visible and frequent. Sank from 6 inches in some places to thigh deep in others. Snowshoes lower, constant switching between snowshoes and crampons up higher. Crampons and axe are absolutely essential. Wanted to descend via Clark/Cathedral but couldn't find it so I went down Holt. I'm pretty sure Clark was over by a ledge that I wasn't going anywhere near in the strong winds. Holt trail was tons of fun, felt like some real mountaineering despite the short distance and lower elevation. Sorry for the late post but since I made tracks it's better late than never.
