Comments
Comments: Today started as a trip to Zealand/West Bond and due to temps, I tried for Hale. The road walk in would have been replaced with the Firewarden's trail had a made a change sooner. Zealand Road is in great shape and easily traveled. I made it to Hale Brook (2.5 miles) in an hour with minimal stopping. Hale Brook starts out well packed. It becomes gradually more unconsolidated as you move up. Temps were dropping and that was the main reason to turn back. Being the only sole on the trail was another. I'm not into getting myself in trouble I can't get out of. So, Isis and I turned back at about 3000 Ft. Still a great day out there. See you on the trails after the snow flies.
