Comments
Comments: Trail has seen a good bit of traffic. Today (Sunday) there was close to 20 people on it, half snowshoes, half spikes. Snowshoes would be the "proper" choice, though I admit to wearing just microspikes since I feared the snowshoes might reaggrevate an injury. There is a nice base that is mostly firmly packed and spiking generally only created inch divots, but there were some drifted areas where those with microspikes chewed up the trail quite a bit. Televators would be appreciated on the steeps since there is some unpacked/drifted powder on top of the base there. Going down was an awesome boot ski.

Cold with the wind today (though air temps were a little better than expected between 12 degrees and about 0). I wore face protection the whole hike, and felt a bit of frostnip on my upper cheek developing just after stopping for 15 minutes to eat--glad I had the goggles to put on and cover up that gap with my balaclava. Good lesson to bring all that stuff even if its a wooded shorter hike!

Great meeting and chatting with Georg at the summit!

With the incoming snow tomorrow (monday) this report will change of course.
