Comments
Comments: Hike started off pretty well, considering the Nor'easter was coming in today. Trail was packed pretty much the whole way to Middle Tripyramid. I opted for snowshoes for the entire ascent, and saw a couple others on the trail using snowshoes. Even though the trail was packed, snowshoes were a good option, especially for the steep sections. My hiking parters wore microspikes and I think it was hard and slow going for them. I used crampons on the way down because the rain had set in and was softening up the snow causing balling under my snowshoes. On the ridge the wind was blowing probably ~40-50mph on top of the trees and it was kind of cool walking in the clouds in the safety of the treeline. No views today, only fog :(

The descent and the hike out was a long, annoying slog. It was warming up, raining pretty hard, and the snow was softening up. After I got down the steeps, I ended up bare booting the last mile or so because the trail conditions were so awful. I was happy to be back at the car on this wet adventure.
