| Comments: |
Trails are packed powder (light traction), with an occasional blue ice section, except Webster Cliff Trail (between the peaks and around Mt. Webster), where it is 2-3-foot-deep unconsolidated powder (snowshoes), and the upper portion of the Webster-Jackson Trail (Webster Branch), where it is foot-deep unconsolidated powder (snowshoes).
Between the two peaks is some of the nicest snowshoeing we've had all year -- great fun (although we did follow a single track of deep postholes; that did not look fun).
Summit areas are blown clear, with rime ice on the exposed rocks and some blue ice. |
