Comments
Comments: Trails nice and hard packed for the most part all the way to the summit. Ice bulges in the middle section of Glencliff Trail are present, with a dusting of snow on disguising some of them. Microspikes worked fine, as this is a short section. Carriage Road had more drifts, so either snowshoes or light traction is fine, snowshoes would keep the track nicer. At the cairns, there is a mix of drifts/ice sheets/hard frozen snow until above treeline, then just ice sheets and frozen snow. Traction definitely helpful. Good day out for some solitude, didn't see anyone except for the college group of 8 going up as I was on my way out, about 1.5 miles from the trailhead.
