| Comments: |
We started out with cold temps in the morning, clear skies and very little wind. The trail was in good condition mostly packed powder. We bare booted it on the way up, snow shoes not needed and no issues with post holing. This trail is sometimes are to follow with all the river crossings, but was made easy with the snow, just follow the rut in the snow. There were a few hikers out today, we ran into a large group coming up from the North slide. The group was wearing crampon, so the trail between North and Middle was a little ripped up. We spent a few minutes at each peak taking in the views but did not stay to long. On the way down we wore micro spikes for a little more traction on the steep sections. |
