Spikes up to the steeps on North Twin. Snowshoes until well down on Gale River. There is a good snowshoe track now across the summits where there were drifts. Descent from South Twin as good as it gets. Had a great view from the North Twin view point before the Presidentials disappeared. Summit of South Twin in the fog with cold winds..we did not linger. The rest of the way better than expected given the forecast. Looking forward to good weather forecasts this week to visit Madison and Adams. Thanks to Michelline, Karen, Steve, Sam, Bill and John for one fine day. |
