Comments
Comments: Nice almost blue bird perfect day on Mt Kearsarge, however the wind had some steam making it pretty bitter on the summit. Had lunch at the picnic tables on top, but decided to forgo taking any longer than necessary to eat. The Winslow Trail was good to the half-way point then I bush-waked around the ice cascade as my micro- spikes were not able to grip the hard ice with the pitch being so steep. I would not recommend ascending or descending if you don't have sharp crampons and an ice ax to cut steps in the steeper sections. Its not worth the gamble~! The Barlow Trail hands down is more scenic and 10x safer at this point. Saw two other hikers on my way out. Until- then, Keep Climbing!
