Comments
Comments: North Twin Trail was a sheet of ice under a dusting of new snow. Microspikes were used then until we got on the Fire Warden's Trail where we put snowshoes on as the snow pack was not fully stable. Snow was coming down steadily so our tracks were covered by the time we started descending. Fire Warden's Trail is wide open and easy to follow and should really become a real trail. Just keep a lookout for the out-of-place tree in the middle of the trail on the herd path between the first two water crossings of the North Twin Trail. Take a left there and over the embankment will put you on the old road that is the Fire Warden's Trail.
