We used spikes and trail crampons the whole way. Trails in great shape. They are well packed. There was a few spots of drifting on the way to Eisenhower but there was quite a few folks out. No breeze to speak of until getting near to Eisenhower then very cold. We spent may be six minutes on top. Some very nice folks from an amc group gave my friend Dave L and myself a small candy bar and cookie. We Thank them for their kindness. Great day to be out. There was lots of Greg jay activity on Pierce. These were#24 for my hiking partner and #19 and 20 for myself. Thanks always to Our wives who Fee very supportive our goal to try to do them all in winter. |
