| Comments: |
It snowed most of the day leaving 4-5 inches of fluffy powder snow. Snowshoes would be good for the Davis Path. Rocky Branch Trail has bare ground, running water, ice, postholes all coverd with the powder snow on the way down making for some interesting footing. My microspikes kept getting ice balls on the bottom. We managed to navigate the Engine Hill Bushwhack until about the last .2 miles we couldn't figure out where the trail was going so we made a new one. Everyone else on the trail today followed Baxter and I so there is now a new ending to the bushwhack. |
