|
| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The southern section of the Gale River Loop Road is still closed -- the failed bridge is not yet fixed. So access to the Garfield trailhead is via the longer northern section of this loop road. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
water crossings all easy |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Someone obviously has done a lot of recent trail clearing -- thank you! But there are still a few blowdowns that could be removed if some hiker brought along a hand saw (hint, hint). Also a few large blowdowns that will require a big saw. |

| Comments: |
There was one teensy-weensy patch of snow in a mini-col near the summit. Almost-for-sure completely gone by the time you read this report.
Smoke from the Quebec forest fires was concentrated at low altitude, so the peak air was fairly clean and the views fairly good, especially toward the south and west. |
