crossings were low and easily hopped…snow bridges gone |

trail in good shape, one spruce top frozen in ground around 3700 feet |

one well mannered, one annoying growler, of course the good one was on a leash |

frozen granular started from the parking lot and spikes were the foot ware of choice today. the usual muddy areas on the reroute. all the little water seeps and crossings open. the chute from the viewpoint to ridge well covered and solidly packed by sliders, spikes were perfect. some sleet and snow on ascent. rocky area all filled in on sosman, no one has been out to the southern viewpoint. in the clouds at summit so didn't linger..a fair amount of people out given the lousy day..clouds lifted over the trys on descent for some local views. good day out |
