| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The lot is not plowed so cars were parked along the street. When I finished my hike at 12:30 there were dozens of cars parked on both sides of the road. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
There are a few water crossings. The first two can be a little tricky but you can get across without getting wet. The second one is only tricky because the rocks move when you step on them. The rest are small easy walkovers. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There are a few new blowdowns on the trail as you reach 3000 ft. Some hikers postholed trying to get around them. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
I saw a number of dogs on the trail today. All seemed to be enjoying the hike. |
|
| Bugs: |
none |

| Lost and Found: |

| Comments: |
The rain washed away a lot of the snow and turned some of the lower trail into a muddy mess. Most of the trail was packed snow but some areas, that looked solid, actually had running water under it - I am sure some hikers had wet feet after postholing in those areas. |
