Comments
Comments: I figured I would start my winter season on Christmas eve, hell or high water, quite literally! It rained car to car but I managed the layers and goretex and came out with two peaks to the good. The lean over trees that were heavy with snow were a lot to deal with. I used my poles to clear them as much as possible but on the way back down they were soaked and giving free showers with each pass. I don't think I had a dry patch of clothing anywhere after this hike. The trails stayed in good shape as I wore snow shoes and there is a deep snow pack underneath. A couple of bare booters heading in on my way out, I can only imagine what it looks like now. Great day on the trail!
