I attempted to cross the river after the junction for the Passaconaway Cut-Off. I removed my socks and footwear and once I hit the water I instantly knew it was a mistake. |

I learned the hard way that water crossings can lead to frostbite, duh. I was lucky to have all my piggies when I returned to the car. The Saco was raging this morning and with warm temps the trail was soft. After a few cold nights this trail should be great. I personally would not attempt this trail again until water levels go down. |
