Lost and Found
Lost and Found: FOUND -- one child's snowshoe on the steep part of Ammo. Send me an email if it's yours and I will gladly mail it to you. Also -- one wool cap on lower part of Ammo (between Gem Pool and parking lot). Send me an email if its yours and I'll happily ship it to you.

Comments
Comments: Ammo was a packed sidewalk. My snowshoes got a free ride on my back.

Visibility was extremely low, but tracks of others, our compass, and knowledge of the mountain got us up Monroe and safely back to the hut.

It was a pleasure to meet Rob, Justin, the two happy fellows (German?) by the hut, and Emerel. Hikers are good folk.

I made it all the way in microspikes, simply because I never felt like stopping to put on my crampons. The girls wore Hillsound Pro crampons. Crampons are a good idea...so many people butt-slide down Ammo (including us) that traction can be difficult on the steepest bits.

Happy birthday to me! Also, another winter 4K peak for Sage, though she's not actively chasing that list.

I'll have photos on my blog late this evenings (the 23rd).
