The trail was very dry almost all the way, with a little bit of mud and patches of snow here and there but not to bad as you approached the very upper levels of the trail, but it was easily avoided by going around it…Lots of people on the trail today, bugs were bad at the park in lot and at the begging of the trail, but once the wind pickup it was pleasant and the bugs did not bother at all…this trail provides probably one of the best views for the efforts provided. Overall it is a moderate hike. The middle section is fairly steep but once at the tree line the trail levels off. The 360 degree views from the top of Eisenhower are breathtaking and are well worth; to make this hike even more breathtaking, things were enhanced by purple and white alpine flowers. As forecast goes, there were some cool winds blowing, about 54 mph making it very chilly at the Summit – even though there were so many people hiking in shorts and tank tops, you definitely needed
a jacket once above tree line. Happy Trails to all and until the next Summit…
