Comments
Comments: About 12 hikers on the trails today so everything is fairly well packed. I used micros from Basin lot to Flume; then Snowshoes from Flume down to spot about 1\2 mile above Flume Slide Tr. jct. where it became bare trail, rock and ice mix. Herd path in better shape than trail and departs bike path about 5-6 minutes from Basin lot (time & distance saver). Lots of snow on ridge; well over knee deep if stepping off trail. Should be a nice go for first couple of winter days; hopefully mid week weather doesn't mess everything up.
