About 3" of new powder down low to about 8" to 12" with deeper drifts along the ridge. Trail was unbroken but had a good base. There was some sunshine around but the summit was socked in with windy conditions. Lots of snow up there. Great hike today with Hiker Ed, Sandy P., & Helen G. We wore snowshoes the whole way. Thanks to Ed and Sandy for doing most of the trail breaking. Tough work. We made a nice snowshoe track, but unfortunately several bare-booters came up after us, so expect a chewed up trail for tomorrow. On good thing is that an ATV equipped with track treads traveled the road today to do some work at the lodge, so his tracks make a nice path. |
