With the rocks and boulders buried in snow it looks like a blast for dogs. Saw a happy one on Washington! |

| Comments: |
Perfect snowshoe conditions the whole way, especially between Madison Springs Hut and Mount Eisenhower. Up to Madison via Valley way is packed out and is light traction or bare-bootable. Same goes for the Crawford Path and Eisenhower Loop Trail south of Mount Eisenhower's Summit. Everything is below the snow so no rocks, roots or boulders anymore. Drifting in spots between Madison and Eisenhower, especially between Monroe and Eisenhower, snowshoes were perfect. FYI, Crawford Path can be hard to follow approaching mount Eisenhower from Mount Franklin in low visibility. It ended up be an excellent day out for a traverse with Whitney! |
