Comments
Comments: We wore snowshoes from the get go and left them on all day. The Ammo was well broken out with a nice snowshoe track all the way to the Hut. No ice issues. The Mt. Monroe Loop Trail was tracked out with some crusty and powder snow. The Crawford Path to George was loose and unconsolidated with a good base. We decided to descend alongside the Cog Railway for a change of pace, because it was tracked up a bit. It's a good thing that we did, because the Jewell Trail at the Cog Station, wasn't broken out. Beautiful, Blue Sky, warm day with no wind. Great hike with Hiker Ed, Fran M., Bob I. (aka Waumbek). Great seeing Sandy P. and Bruce P. today. And other familiar faces.
