Comments
Comments: The Blueberry Ledge Trail in great condition with dry surfaces including the steep ledge area. Rollins Trail to summit of Whiteface in good shape (small cairn marks summit). The Kate Sleeper Trail had some blow downs and wet spots which amounted to mere inconveniences. The side trail to East Sleeper in good condition. Faint herd path to West Sleeper summit is okay. The slide areas on Kate Sleeper and Tripyramid Loop has loose rock which makes footing insecure as usual. Tripyramid Loop generally okay with minor blowdowns by South Peak. Morning views off the south outlook of Whiteface were limited due to the haze from the Quebec wildfires. Later in the day the visibilty improved so that Mt Washington could be seen from the viewpoint on North Tripyramid (side path extending eastward downhill from the summit rock). The only snow spotted was in the col between East and West Sleeper (off trail). At lower elevations of the Blueberry Ledge Trail there were many Pink Lady Slippers in bloom. On the rock ledge at the upper junction of Blueberry Ledge and Blueberry Ledge Cut-Off there were Pale Corydalis in blossom. Saw many hikers on Whiteface and Tripyramid but nobody on the Kate Sleeper Trail.
