Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Somewhat difficult conditions for canines at the moment. Cinnilla handled everything well but needed a helping hand a couple of places where the ice is significant. The Wildcat ridge tr is pretty good but has a couple of difficult spots due to ice. Nineteen Mile Brook is manageable because it is not so steep but there is a lot of ice and the footing is very poor. Impossible to avoid wet paws but with low water levels it is not a big issue.

Comments
Comments: NMB tr is an awful jumble of frozen slush with footprints, ice, water, some mud and rocks not yet covered by snow.

Thankfully the Wildcat Ridge tr is in much better condition with mostly crusted snow which provides good footing. There are icy spots on some of the shorter steeper sections between A and D peak but the section from NMB jct. to A summit has hardly any ice - allowing for safe ascent as well as descent.
