| Comments: |
There was trace amount of snow for the first 2 miles, after the Bald Peak Spur it was consolidated and very icy the rest of the way. Yesterday's warm temperatures and last nights below freezing created a hard packed surface with icy slabs on all rock surfaces. Unless we get more snow light traction is the necessary footwear. We carried our snowshoes with hopes of good conditions on the ridge but they stayed on the pack for the ride. |
