Comments
Comments: Skiied in from the gate at Mt. Clinton Rd to the Edmunds Trailhead/parking lot. Conditions on the road were perfect for gliding. We broke out the Edmunds trail with Snowshoes, but they were not ideal for long as the trail becomes rocky, and the new fluffy snow was not quite deep enough to bury the all. We switched to Hillsounds for the rest of the way., also not ideal. Waded through a few deep drifts near the very summit of Ike, and then used snowshoes the whole way to the lot, skiied out. Only saw 2 others on trail all day (on the summit). We enjoyed quite possibly some of the most spectacular wintery scenery in the Whites today, with just a hint of a breeze.
