Comments
Comments: Put the snow shoes on once the trail started to get steep. If you don't have good traction on your snowshoes I would suggest bringing crampons for the ledges. We managed to get up them but it was a little scary. After the summit of Whiteface we were breaking trail in about 8-10 inches of powder snow. Slow going. When we got the the loop for Passaconaway there was a one person snowshoe track going up. We met HikerEd just below the summit. great to see him on the trails again. Down Dicey's Mill bare booters had been on the trail. Kept the snowshoes on until the road out. beautiful day to be out.
