Comments
Comments: Trails are pretty well packed out, but looked to be less traveled once beyond East Osceola. Snow was packed around and covered most, but not all of the rocks, making wearing snowshoes awkward (mine got a free ride today). Microspikes or other light traction is probably the best choice for the current conditions. Some ice showing in the usual icy places on the steeps of E. Osceola, but still enough snow cover to find a route with good traction around the worst sections. On the ridge between steep section and summit of E. Osceola it was a nice ridge walk, not enough snow for the drifts that sometime form up there.
