Comments
Comments: Snow depths where anywhere from a half foot to a foot and a half, everything is broken / choppy / packed. Lonesome Lake Trail is packed out well barebooting is fine. The Kinsman Ridge Trail between North and South is fine for snowshoes or microspikes. The rest have rocks and roots that you still step, slip, and twist on in spots beneath the snow. We used Snowshoes for half the hike and microspikes for the other half. micro's are the way to go pretty much until those pesky roots and rocks are buried for good. Nice morning out with Denise and Kyle.
