Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were easy to cross.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The avalanche near Gem Pool made a mess. Numerous trees down on Caps Ridge Tr and Boundary Line Tr but all were easy to navagate.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The Caps Ridge Tr is not very dog friendly, especially for the descent. I had to lower my dog in a few spots because there was not enough of a lip for her to jump down to on some of the rock slabs. There was little water above treeline the entire day. Dog owners should bring extra.
Bugs
Bugs: Bad on Mt. Monroe when the breeze would stop and annoying along Jefferson Notch Rd. Everywhere else was fine.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Saw a sandal and a snowshoe along the Gulfside Tr and a gaiter on the Caps Ridge Tr.

Comments
Comments: A great day over all. It was cloudy for the way up and sunny for the way down. The Ammonoosuc Ravine Tr has several patches of snow. Some of them are over three feet deep. Crawford Path had one large patch to traverse. There was minimal post-holing. All other trails had trace amounts.
