Comments
Comments: First and only tracks on these trails today. Started with 6-8" fluffy very light snow, up to about a foot up high. Some drifting on the ridge. Snow was too light to pack down and not deep enough to fill in between rocks to make for good snowshoeing. We opted for a mix of bare booting and microspikes instead. Perfect conditions for tough/tricky footing. Need another good storm for better trails. Some parts of Liberty Spring had open running water on the trail. Treated to some lovely sun and spectacular undercast on Liberty. Took the bushwhack back to bike path on the way down. Finished the day with the Highland Center's delicious Thanksgiving Buffet. Thanks, Emily, for a great day out.
