Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of room in the lot, but the lot was also a sheet of ice. Go slow
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Ice Axe
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Nothing difficult today. All easy with ice or rocks to cross on. For the larger ones, trying to walk on ice above rocks might help. I'm a larger hiker and didn't break through, but heard some creaking when not over rocks
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Nothing hard to get around, but a few things on the Hancock Loop Trail could use a bit of clean up
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a half dozen happy dogs today. Nothing too hard for a dog today, but the water sources are freezing over

Comments
Comments: Snow from start to finish today, but never more than a few inches and all well packed down. Some ice once on the Hancock Loop Trail. I put on microspikes part way up and left them on until back down. Some were making it with bare boots, but most had spikes. Seemed quite windy on South Hancock, even in the trees. Trees provided more protection from the wind on North Hancock
