Two gorgeous peaks on a gorgeous day! The last several days of extreme heat have melted all the snow. The entire loop was clear and mostly dry with some deep muddy spots. Flume Slide had some wet spots which made this very steep section a little dicey at times. I've been going at it for 6 weeks and this is the first hike I've had where it feels like summer has returned. And a side note: the swimming at Echo Lake is superb! |
