Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: 7-8 cars all seemed to comfortably park and get out. May want to check surface conditions before dropping down; might be better parking along side where it's level. Road in was fine. Talked to a nice employee around 3:15 and I can't imagine one would have any problems getting out if after 4:00.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossed on either slightly submerged rocks (no ice) or rock with some ice on surface. Fairly easy either way.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Maybe 1/2 dozen blowdowns on Bunnell Notch Tr.. Wished we'd had saw for one early in that's causing reroute around. Sad to find the little Cabot sign on summit gone (screw remains) and the nice map in the cabin gone as well.

Comments
Comments: Stayed cold enough today so that majority of trail was solid. Generally 1-3" snow; spots with a little more up above cabin. Some ice below snow but never came close to feeling the need for traction. Some mud and wet trail; would be much worse with warmer temps. Would believe trails will be nice again tomorrow if it stays below freezing.
