Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lots (we spotted a car at the Gale River trailhead and started at N. Twin trailhead) were empty when we arrived. There were a few cars in the afternoon. 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery 
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We bushwacked around the first two crossings on the N. Twin trail and were happy we did. The rest were do-able. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There was a foul smell at the Galehead hut. Old sewage? Very unpleasant. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The dogs loved it. Husky heaven when the temps cool down and there is snow and ice. They did fine on the water crossings.

Lost and Found: There was a men's XL black Mountain Hardware vest hanging from a tree about mid-way on the Gale River trail.
