Comments
Comments: One of the first few out on the trail today in the fresh snow, but many more came out later. Didn't use traction on the way up even with a couple slick spots. Should have put on my gaiters early as snow increased to 6-8 inches higher up. Put on an old pair of microspikes for the trip down to minimize slipping on the slick snow. The many hikers had packed down the snow, but it was still good to have them. There are a couple spots where ice is starting to form.

Lower trail relocation makes sense, but is a bit soft still. Upper relocation feels like it wanders some and adds to the distance. With coming back down the old route I compared the gps tracks and it didn't wander as much as it seemed. I can see the old route being a popular winter route though once a few people break it out since it is much more of a straight shot.
