| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of room at 19-Mile Brook Trailhead today. Looks like the lot overflowed pretty decently on Saturday. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Wet/Sticky, Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Slush |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Low water levels, just watch for ice here and there. The old bridge crossing on 19-Mile Brook now has 2 beefy planks to cross it on (single-file mind you), but are a bit slick and may not be the best option soon. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All trails easy to follow. The upper Imp Trail is wet as usual, same in a few spots on the lower Carter Dome Trail above the upper crossing. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a couple. Nothing tricky here for them. |
|
| Bugs: |
Nope! |

| Comments: |
A nice day for a loop around the Carters. Some small patches of ice along the ridge here and there in the steep sections, but I bare-booted all day without much trouble. Others out there opted for light traction, and there is enough snow and ice to make them helpful. No snow at the bottom increasing to ~6" up top overall. Good to catch up to Ed and Bruce again around Zeta Pass and it was good to see a few other familiar faces out there. |
