Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Those talked to during hike were 50\50 with rock hops or taking shoes off. Fairly difficult rock hop with todays water level. On way out Emerel stated that level had not gone down; but a large rock I had placed earlier was more beneficial on way out. Crossing on old route was not possible without going 3-4" under water.

Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Many out today. Worst part of day was watching one try to climb steps on tower; not advisable in my opinion.

Lost and Found: Blue jacket left at kiosk.

Comments
Comments: Great day for Carrigain. Quite a bit of mud on the lower 2 relocations. Ice falling from tower and trees earlier but mostly down by early afternoon. No ice on trail; looked like Desolation Tr. may have been worse. Lots of leaves hiding rocks in middle section. Old trail in brook crossing area fine other than lack of rocks for crossing brook (definitely shorter). Congrats to 3 who finished NH48 today.
