Comments
Comments: The trail started off fairly level and smooths with snow free almost all the way, except for couple patches near the summits and along the ridge… some mud and a few stream crossings in a very short stretch for the first few miles, but allowing for a nice stride. The crossings were fairly easy, with water level a little high, We manage the crossings with care and trekking poles helped to rock hoop without getting our boot wet, couple ladies decided to turn around they found the water a little high for them and thought they would get their foot wet, this other guy did cross and did got he’s Boot and Foot wet…so its really ones decision and how much good of a hopper you are…. After a few miles the gradient increases and then becomes steep and rugged where the elevation increases really fast. We did come across one erosion along the trail and couple blow downs… Lots of steep and wet rocky trail once you start to get elevation. There were a few steep sections on the hike up and down, along upper section of The SabbathDay Trail. Trekking poles were an option of that descend part, I kept my stowed to free up my hands and found that was a big help. Very Buggy day and I’m still suffering the bits today, but over all it was a great day to be out doors and enjoying that Natural Surrounding…Happy trails!
