 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
FR 95 (access to Shelburne TH) is rough the first 100 yards or so - but the rest is fine. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
No issues - all are easily passable - for dogs and humans. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Kenduskeag (non AT section) has some sections which are quite over-grown and also some significant mud sections. Some of the mud sections are quite deep but can be avoided with some effort. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
A great day for the "veterans" - Pepper&Cinnilla. A bit more challenging for the "rookie" - Shamus - but he did fine and handled the obstacles well. There is plenty of water-streams along these trails (although none on the AT section of the Kenduskeag Tr.). |
 | Bugs: |
The dogs seemed to pick up a lot of ticks on this hike - most likely on the overgrown sections of the Kenduskeag Tr. |

 | Comments: |
A nice Fall-hike for the dogs, John and I. With the low-waters at this time of year the crossings of the Rattle River were very easy. |
