Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The Brook crossing on the herd path has low water. I saw 2 people make the 1st North Twin Trail crossing fine, water seemed low there too.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A minor blowdown here and there, I think all were on the unmaintained trails. One large, somewhat awkward step over in the switchbacks on e Firewarden's Trail. The usual minor mud on the same trail.

Dog-Related Notes: No water above the first mile, but easy dog trails.

Comments
Comments: I was the only one to visit Hale from this side this morning. A good choice given the forecast, though the rain did mostly hold off as promised, only a few sprinkles at the summit. Even with a ton of leaves on the ground, the trail was easy to follow, as always. I love this approach to Hale. It looks like the foliage down low was amazing last weekend, now all the maple leaves are on the ground, and most of the birch are there too. A nice, quick morning visit for hike #1 on the day.
